On February 14, 2024, the Department implemented the State SNAP Supplement for certain eligible noncitizens households. Due to the exhaustion of funding, issuance of the State SNAP Supplement will end effective for May 2024. State SNAP Supplement cases that are currently active will not receive a payment in May.

State SNAP Supplement cases that are pending with a benefit effective date on or prior to April 30, 2024, will receive a State SNAP Supplement, if eligible, when the case is authorized. This payment may be released in May or beyond, only for cases with a benefit effective date on or prior to April 30, 2024. The household will be sent the State SNAP Expedited Notice or the State SNAP Approval Notice following approval. After the release of the benefit, BEACON will close the State SNAP Supplement case on Day 2. An EBC Notice will be sent to mixed noncitizen households whose federal SNAP benefit amount changes due to the recalculation of the case when the State SNAP Supplement ends. Each household that was receiving the State SNAP Supplement will be sent a text message and a separate State SNAP Ended Notice advising them that they will no longer receive the State SNAP Supplement.
