OLGT 2023-50: TAFDC & EAEDC: Informing Applicants for Economic Assistance of Potential Eligibility for Additional DTA Benefits

The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) recognizes that applicants for Economic Assistance (EA) benefits may not be aware of additional DTA administered benefits they may be eligible to receive. To ensure everyone has access to critical Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, DTA requires Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) and Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC) case managers to inform TAFDC and EAEDC applicants and clients of potential eligibility for SNAP benefits during the application interview and reevaluation interviews.
