Field Ops Memo 2009-22A: Revised Spring SNAP H-EAT Report
Date:
DTA has corrected a problem for 10,000 Food Stamp cases who should have received the H-EAT benefit in November but did not. Had the H-EAT fuel assistance benefit been provided, the FS/SNAP benefits would have been higher for most households (unless their FS/SNAP benefits or shelter expenses were at the maximum levels). These FS/SNAP households have been identified and will have their FS/SNAP benefits increased in June. DTA will process retroactive payments (back to November 2008) to households who missed out on the benefit. Workers are required to do so at the upcoming FS recertification. As of this writing, this appears to be a worker based manual correction triggered at the recertification.
