MLRI analysis of FY26 House Ways and Means Budget, Amendment Tracker Reminder re 4/22 Coalition

Greetings all. Here’s MLRI’s analysis of selected parts of the FY26 House Ways and Means proposed budget (we periodically update this document if errors or new information. You can find the House W&M proposed budget HERE, and amendments as they get filed HERE. House Members have through today (Friday) to file amendments, so more may pop up during the day. BUT Members can sign on as co-sponsors next week and any time up until the amendment has been taken up by the House the week after. So please reach out to Members to urge them to co-sponsor important amendments.

Finally, if your organization is working on an amendment that you’d like the SNAP Coalition to be aware of, please let us know and we’ll distribute a list of the key anti-hunger and anti poverty amendments to focus on early next week. Fill out this Google form with your amendment info and we will share (amendments involving SNAP, DTA cash benefits, MEFAP, HIP, etc.
