SNAP Health Care Costs - DTA Form to Claim Expenses
Date:
SNAP applicants and recipients age 60+ or receiving a disability-based benefit can claim their out-of-pocket unreimbursed health care costs as a deduction toward their income. Claiming healthcare costs that exceed $35/month can boost SNAP benefits. Health care costs below $190/month can be self-declared. Households that claim above $190/month in healthcare costs must verify their costs.
