OLGT 2019-08: TAFDC: Temporary Procedures for Young Parent Program (YPP) Referral for Post-Secondary Education

This year the Young Parent Program expanded services to include those pregnant and parenting clients who:

• are currently out of school and do not have a high school diploma or its equivalent

or

• who wish to pursue post-secondary education and training.

Currently BEACON will not display a YPP selection as an available ESP activity if there is an existing record of either high school or HiSET/GED completion. To allow for the expanded YPP services, BEACON will be enhanced to accommodate the change.  However, until the enhancement is implemented, temporary procedures must be implemented.
