OLGT 2019-07A: SNAP: Temporary Procedures Due to Federal Government Shutdown

The U.S. government has been operating under a partial shutdown since December 22, 2018. SNAP benefits were not immediately impacted and January 2019 benefits have been issued per regular operations. 

States have been issued some guidance from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) with regard to the processing and issuance of February 2019 SNAP benefits. As DTA is committed to ensuring eligible clients are able to access their SNAP benefits, systems changes, specialized temporary procedures and limited overtime were authorized.
