DTA Policies & Materials
DTA maintains an “Online Guide” that gives DTA workers detailed guidance on SNAP and cash assistance policies (available at https://www.mass.gov/info-details/the-department-of-transitional-assistance-online-guide)
DTA must still follow the state SNAP and cash regulations (106 Code of Massachusetts Regulations). But the DTA Online Guide goes into more detail on eligibility rules, case examples on how policies should be applied, steps DTA workers need to take in the BEACON eligibility system, and sample DTA forms and other relevant documents. DTA updates it regularly. We encourage advocates and community based organizations to regularly check the Online Guide for DTA policies.
