Some didn't get SNAP over the weekend due to error - see DTA alert

DTA posted an alert that over the weekend there was a technical issue and some clients did not receive benefits when they should have.

We do not yet know how many families were impacted or how long it will take DTA to fix the issue. In general, households who should get SNAP on the 7th and 8th of the month are those where the head of household's Social Security Number ends in 4 or 5

If clients contact you to say they did not get their SNAP over the weekend, please tell them about DTA's alert. They do not need to call DTA or go to an office, DTA will reach out when the problem is fixed.

Here is what DTA currently has posted on Mass.gov/DTA:

Note: Ask what day the client normally gets SNAP. If it is not around the 7th/8th, ask if the client was previously sent a termination notice ending SNAP in September, or if they recently got Recertification of Interim Report paperwork. If you think it's possible a client did not get SNAP recently because of an eligibility issue and not this error, look into the case further.
