A harrassment order statute, M.G.L. c. 258E, was enacted in Massachusetts in 2010.  Under this new law, victims of sexual assault and stalking can obtain protective orders even if they do not satisfy the relationship requirements of M.G.L. c. 209A.

Attached are training materials from a 2010 training hosted by Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., in partnership with the Victim Rights law Center, the Domestic and Sexual Violence Council (DSVC) and the Women's Bar Foundation's Family Law Project. Materials are attached here with the permission of the sponsoring entities.
