PPER Email 2014-12: DOR Employment Verification Notice Issue

As part of the BEACON Build 46.2 on 3/17, functionality was added to automate the generation of DOR Employment Verification Notices with a DOR Match discrepancy. The return of the
verification and the disposition of the outstanding match will be tracked, with automated case closings generated for failure to complete the verification process.

The first DOR Match file (post build) was processed on 3/25/14.

Tickets were received on 3/27 describing an issue with the DOR Employment Verification Notice.

Analysis discovered that a number of clients with an Earned Income discrepancy received a notice with incorrect Employer information.

The Employer information on the DOR Income Match page is correct.

• In the Friday night BEACON batch, the following corrective actions will occur:A new notice will be NOT generated for any client whose first notice had incorrect. Employer information but the match has already been dispositioned;
• A new notice will be generated for all clients whose first notice had incorrect Employer information and the match has not yet dispositioned;
• A new Verification Due Date will be calculated and tracked;
• The first notice will remain in Document History; and
• The Verification Due Date associated with the first notice will be deleted.
