Attached is very helpful issue of a publication MassHealth regularly distributes to participating pharmacies. The March 15, 2018 issue makes clear that pharmacies may not charge a MassHealth member more than the allowed co-payment if payment is "available from MassHealth" and that payment is still considered available despite the administrative mishaps that may result in an initial payment denial. The flyer also includes pharmacy-specific contact information for each of the MassHealth health plans.
