Ops Memo 2014-51: TAFDC: Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants (MORI) Referrals for Spanish-Speaking Refugee and Immigrant Clients in Certain TAOs
Overview: DTA currently funds Employment Ready job search/job readiness services and English for Employment education and training for TAFDC-eligible refugees and immigrants through the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants (MORI). MORI contracts with vendors in certain Massachusetts areas to provide these services to refugees and immigrants who have cultural and language barriers to employment.
Until now, only clients whose primary language is other than English or Spanish were eligible for referral to MORI for these Employment Services Program (ESP) services.
Purpose of Memo: This Operations Memo informs case managers that Spanish-speaking refugee and immigrant clients in receipt of TAFDC in certain TAOs may now be referred to MORI for ESP services.
