OLGT 2024-11: SNAP: COVID-19 SNAP Recertification Process versus Regular SNAP Recertification Proces

Under the Continuing Resolution Bill, the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS)
allowed DTA to streamline the recertification process and waive the
recertification interview by applying the Interim Report (IR) rules to most
SNAP recertifications. Additionally, a relatively small number of SNAP
households are NOT eligible to recertify using the COVID-19 recertification
process.

A chart has been created to help staff differentiate between the COVID-19
SNAP recertification process and the regular SNAP recertification process.
Additionally, images of the COVID-19 recertification form and the regular
recertification forms and their associated datasheets have been provided to
assist staff with identifying the different recertification forms
