OLGT 2022-68: Cross Program: Federal Mileage Rate update

In light of recent gasoline price increases, the federal government has announced an increase in the standard mileage rate, which is effective until December 31, 2022.

Effective immediately, the new federal mileage rate of 62.5 cents must be used when calculating allowable transportation costs to be applied as a medical expense deduction or a dependent care expense deduction.
