OLGT 2021-68: Cross Programs: Termination of all Pandemic Unemployment Compensation Types
Effective for claim week ending September 4, 2021, all Pandemic Unemployment Compensation types will be terminated. This includes:
-
Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)
-
Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC)
-
Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC)
-
Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation (MEUC)
A special batch job will remove the UC type that has ended and recalculate the case automatically. A narrative will also be entered that the case was recalculated. Additionally, an EBC notice will go out to clients to notify them of their benefit change. Additionally, clients will receive a DTA Text Alert notifying them that the Department is working with DUA to remove the income and that they do not need to do anything.
For clients applying for SNAP, FAWs are reminded to count any terminated unemployment income, if applicable.
For clients applying for TAFDC the case manager must end the income in BEACON and move the effective date of the application to the date after the last unemployment compensation payment was received.
