OLGT 2021-55: Cross Program: Summer P-EBT Benefits

Under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, the Department received approval to continue providing P-EBT benefits to families through Summer 2021. The Summer P-EBT benefit is $375 and will be issued in July and August in the amount of $187.50 each.

To be eligible for Summer P-EBT benefits, children must receive free or reduced-price school meals or be in a SNAP household and under the age of 6. Some of the eligible P-EBT households will be active DTA households while others may not be in receipt of any other DTA benefits.

Additionally, Summer P-EBT benefits will be issued to children under the age of 6 who were present in an Active SNAP household or were present in a SNAP household that received expedited benefits only, even if the household was not approved for ongoing SNAP benefits.
