OLGT 2019-82: Cross Programs: Domestic Violence and Restraining Orders

Restraining Orders, also known as 209A Protective Orders, can be an important tool to protect victims of domestic violence from their abusers. DTA is providing staff with basic information about restraining orders. All clients asking about restraining orders must be referred to a DV specialist. DV specialists can help clients assess if it is safe to pursue a restraining order.
