OLGT 2017-91: SNAP – Student Eligibility Clarifications

Clients between the ages of 18 and 49 who attend an institution of higher education at least half time and do not meet an exemption are considered students and must meet certain criteria to be eligible for SNAP.  This Transmittal informs staff of updated Online Guide content related to student eligibility, including:
 how students verify, gain, and retain eligibility though work-study;
 when it is appropriate to send a CCE-1 form;
 how to review the EDUC-1 form;
 eligible Perkins IV programs in Massachusetts; and
 common student eligibility scenarios.
