In the Matter of DA, FH# 2017-1391
Date:
Affirmed - DCF had reasonable cause to support a finding of neglect against the Appellant guardian where: (1) the children's mother and her ex-boyfriend had a previously supported 51A report due to a history of domestic violence and substance abuse, and as a result were not allowed to be alone with the children (2) although the Appellant contended both the children's mother and the Appellant were aware that the children were not allowed to be left alone with the mother (3) the Appellant's decision to leave the children with an inappropriate caregiver resulted in lack of adequate supervision and posed a risk of danger or safety and well being to the children.
