MassHealth Limited (Emergency Medicaid) Coverage

Attached is an All Provider Bulletin 269 (May 2017) describing a process for health care providers who delivered emergency services to someone on MassHealth Limited but whose claim for payment was denied to resubmit the bill with a doctor's certification that the services provided were for treatment of an emergency medical condition. It is amending the 2015 All Provider Bulletin initially creating the certification process. Both APBs are attached. Both memos refer to an earlier 1997 All Provider Bulletin further describing the scope of MassHealth Limited. The 1997 APB is also attached.
