MassHealth Prepares for End of Continuous Coverage: Launches First Phase of Redetermination Campaign

MassHealth will be renewing coverage for all of its members starting on April 1 and continuing over the next 12 months. Decisions on ongoing eligibility will be made based on these renewals. The continuous coverage protection will not be in place after March 31. It's important that MassHealth members make sure MassHealth has their current contact information.

Today, MassHealth launched a new website dedicated to the renewal/redetermination process.

It includes an outreach toolkit with materials to help get the word out of members of the need to supply MassHealth with updated contact information.

It also includes a powerpoint presentation with more information, about continuous coverage, the 12 month renewal period beginning April 1, and the ways in which MassHealth has prepared for it.

Grant Opportunity for Community-Based Organization to Work with HCFA To Support MassHealth Redeterminations.

Apply to Health Care for All by 5 pm Feb 2, 2023

The goal of the campaign is to ensure Massachusetts residents stay covered – either through MassHealth or another health coverage option such as the Massachusetts Health Connector – when the state resumes MassHealth eligibility redeterminations.

Your organization could help us reach people in your community to ensure they can continue to have  access to the health care they need when they need it.

Grants of $15,000 to $20,000 will support events and activities organized and led by organizations for approximately 4 months of work. HCFA will provide assistance including outreach materials available in nine languages to effectively reach key populations. A large-scale communications campaign and door knocking in the 15 target municipalities will complement community- and faith-based outreach.

Community Organizations working in the following 15 municipalities are encouraged to apply:
