July 23 MTF Announcement: 1. MassHealth Buy In & 2. Telephonic authorizations

This is an MTF announcement dated July 23, 2020 about two policy updates: 1. Correcting a system error affecting the Jan 1, 2020 expansion of the Medicare Savings Program (Senior Buy-In/Buy-In Programs). and 2. a June 29, 2020 change in policy authorizing applicants and members to complete a Permission to Share Information (PSI) or Authorized Reprsentative (ARD) form by telephone with MassHealth Customer Service. The individual who will be gaining access to information or serving as the ARD must also be on the line. The authority for telephone PSI completion may be limited to the COVID-19 emergency period but the ARD authority is expected to be ongoing.
