Overview
In August 2010, the Department implemented the SNAP Expedited Waiver which was approved by USDA to streamline the processing of SNAP applications from claimants who had lost unemployment compensation (UC) benefits. This waiver allowed the Department to postpone the application interview and delay most required verifications for one additional month beyond the required timeframes for eligible households. The waiver was approved through December 31, 2010.
