DTA Application for Funeral and Final Disposition Benefit

If a person lived in Massachusetts at the time of their death and there are not enough resources to pay for the funeral and burial costs, a family member of funeral home can apply for payment assistance. The state can help pay for up to $1,100 of the cost The application on this webpage is often filled out by funeral homes or surviving family members.
