Advising Seniors and Persons with Disabilities Who May Need Help Using SNAP EBT Benefits

Since February 2014, the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) has been sending letters to some SNAP (food stamp) recipients telling them they have unused SNAP benefits they may lose. Some people have had their SNAP expunged (taken away) or put "off line".
See the attached memo for information about how to get these benefits back. It also has some suggestions about steps to take if the SNAP recipient needs help with food shopping.
