Your Right to an Interpreter Poster - Editable Version

The "Your Right to an Interpreter" poster is attached in editable horizontal and vertical formats, which you can edit to meet the needs of your client population. PDF versions are also attached.

The English text reads, "You have the right to an interpreter at no cost to you. Please point to your language. An interpreter will be called. Please wait." The text is translated into 34 languages.

To view and edit the Word document you must download all the relevant fonts to your computer.

Instructions to View & Edit Word Documents:

Step 1: Download Fonts 

1) Click links Font File A, Font File B and Font File C to download zip files onto your computer.

2) Install fonts onto your computer by going to "My Computer", "C: Drive", "WINDOWS" folder, "Fonts", "File", "Install New Font".

3) Select the drive (under "Drives:" heading) where you saved the zip folder of font files.

4) Select folder (under "Folders:" heading) where the fonts are saved. They will automatically load in the "List of fonts:" box. 

5) Click "Select All" and then "OK".

Step 2: Download Word Documents

1) After you install all the fonts on your computer, download the attached Word document "Your Right to an Interpreter Poster - vertical.doc" or "Your Right to an Interpreter Poster - horizontal.doc"

2) For languages that read right to left (Arabic, Hebrew, Dari & Persian), highlight text, go to Format, Paragraph. On the Indents and Spacing Tab, under General – Direction: click the “Right-to-left” button. 

3) If you have problems viewing any of the languages when you open the Word Document, refer to the chart below to ensure that the languages are using the correct font.
